Assisted in research, media list building and PR placement monitoring under several Jones Lang LaSalle business lines under limited supervision. Required confidentiality plus know-how in corporate real estate, internet of things and environmental sustainability. Demanded exemplary computer skills ranging from strong grasps on Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to DropBox, Cision, database management and internet search tools. Served as intern project manager for JLL business lines. Required excellent writing and research skills. 

PEGASUS NEWSPAPER EDITOR, EUREKA COLLEGE, 2014-PRESENT 

Wrote, interviewed and edited AP style articles under strict deadlines. Served as a leader of the 10-person staff in a creative setting which required professional and clear communication skills. Fielded questions, edited articles and made layout decisions for the semi-weekly campus newspaper. Held personally accountable for the success of the organization as well as the journalistic practices of student reporters. 

SUMMER INTERN, HOUSE PR LONDON, SUMMER 2016 

Selected from an international pool of students to serve as an account executive intern for consumer PR clients. Pitched stories, researched, planned large-scale events, proposed creative solutions, created press releases, coordinated content, led photo shoots and worked cohesively in a team environment focused on solutions. Assisted in planning and executing an event which received over 3 million social media impressions and required detail-oriented planning. Successfully led clients to receive positive press including a national placement with a PR value of £15,000 due to solid judgement and ability to manage many projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Assisted as well as managed a variety of projects while collaborating with a diverse team and maintaining client confidentiality.

 

AUTOMOTIVE CONTRIBUTOR, CBS LOCAL CHICAGO & DETROIT, 2015-2016

Selected by search committee to travel to the 2016 Chicago Auto Show with CBS press credentials due to strong interest in automotive field and past published work. Presented automotive news and technical information in a customer-friendly way. Created a variety of posts covering automotive technology, autonomous vehicle innovations, luxury features, eco-friendly vehicle design, truck options, popular SUVs, show history and more. Continued in role as a contributor for featured automotive articles.

AUTOMOTIVE JOURNALIST, EXAMINER.COM, 2015-2016

Self-motivated to write automotive articles on a freelance basis. Covered hard news, reviews and features for the automotive section of the website. These self-made assignments ranged from reviewing the Hyundai Veloster to exploring the rise of six-figure SUVs. Required ambition to create my own assignments on what to cover as I did not have a supervisor. 

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT, EUREKA COLLEGE, 2014-2016 

Handled all aspects of student life Twitter and Instagram accounts in addition to various other Marketing Department tasks. Created engaging social media messages and tracked analytics to create high-impact posts. Required strong and effective oral and written communication skills.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR AND DIGITAL MEDIA ASSISTANT, Forget Ellis Online, 2012-2015

Used various social media techniques on Facebook and Twitter pages to gain popularity and build an online persona for the up-and-coming infotainment website. Innovated content sharing platform. Upon taking over the social media sites, Facebook followers doubled. Gained a knowledge of digital media and video production. Currently hold company record for most organically viewed social media post. Assisted in video production.

STAFF REPORTER, TINLEY JUNCTION NEWSPAPER, 2009-2014 

Reported on village events and school news for the weekly newspaper. Demanded strong interviewing, photography, and writing skills to attain all relevant information and write informational, concise articles. Required exemplary time management skills and organization to commit to position on top of going to school full time and participating in activities there.

Intensive program requires leadership positions in addition to high GPA, moral character, communication skills and positive attitude. Awarded the Burrus-Dickinson Award in Journalism in 2015 and 2016. Made dean's list a total of 6 semesters. Named to the Who's Who at American Colleges and Universities in 2016.
